NARCOLEPTIC GORILLAS

"Narcoleptic Gorillas is a strange but awesome new cd from AirVann. Although it only has 4 tracks, it is still a great buy all you AirVann fans. The best track, without a doubt, is Suspicious Pinecone. I believe this track displays the sheer brilliance found on their other mega hit, I like purple salsa. It is mysterious and funny at the same time. Langston and Brunswick recite outrageously strange lyrics while Stanton plays a perfect guitar riff that really makes the song. Other songs include i enjoy red veggie dip, which is a different version of i like purple salsa. The song is good but the recording is not top notch due to some technical difficulty in the studios. Eager Sausages arent welcome is another song i enjoyed very much. It has a very gloomy and dark feel but once again, is quite comical at the same time. AirVann pulls this off beautifully. The other track Bargaining for fish, is not a song, more like a short skit. It had me cracking up for a while. These lads are truly brilliant. They must be living next to a nuclear power plant because these boys are definitely not normal. This is indeed a great item to add to your collection. One that any real AirVann fan should have. If this is an indication of more work to come, I cant wait for their next album, whenever it comes out."

LIMP LEMMONS

"There is really not much to say about AirVanns first of what I think will be many greatest hit albums. Throughout their ten years in the buisness they have put out exceptional albums with some tracks that stand out more than the others.(The exception being bone, the bands worst release which really doesnt show much except "About A Squirrlel")When you put these exceptional songs together on one 13 song greatest hits package, god knows you have quite an album. A smart move by the boys was to include some of the hits unplugged. "Chicken is high", "Hello 40 16" and "About a Squirrel" are all stronger unplugged than they were on the studio efforts. 10 years into the game, Chad, Achie and the gang have put out passion by numbers with Limp Lemmons. A great buy for any AirVann fan. A smart move from a stupid band. (Not in musical ability, but in lyrics)

BONE

"Bone is sadly AirVanns weakest album to date. The music is recorded poorly and most almost half the tracks are wastes which shouldnt be onb the album. It does have some good stuff none the less. One of the highlights on this cd was the highly anticipated prequil to "Preserve the Sancitity 2" simply entitled "Preserve the Sancitity". In this song we learn the first part of the story that was first revealed to us in AirVann's trademark cd, "I Wish I Was a Bowl of Soup". This entire cd if filled with some of AirVann's best work to date, also including "about a squrillel, plesant dreams and sloth" However the rest of the album is missing something" >

TRIUMPHANT CORCKSCREW

"Triumphant Corckscrew is a little less than what we expect from an AirVann album. However, TC contains some of AirVann's best work. The opening track, a cover of Pearl Jam's Light Years, which I was excited to hear about, is done very well and begins the album on a good note. "Light Years" is one of my all time favorite songs and it is EXTREMELY inseresting to hear AirVann's interpretation. I was also excited to see that AirVann had re-released one of the best tracks off of their debut album "Led Zeppelin VI", entitle "Buddha Didn't Like Snapple". I was overall blown away when I heard the first single off of TC, "I Like Purple Salsa". This song is one of AirVann's greatest accomplishments. Not only is it amazing to listen to, but it also sends a powerful message about a disease that Brunswick's mother battled with. This disease causes the person illed with it to be physicall and mentally afraid of anything and everything. Chipwhich Johnson, a ballad of a boy whose grandma was eatin by mongooses is a nice track and Montana, a true story of Archies fears from moving from his home state Montana is also nice. Sadly, the rest of TC is not as enjoyable."

I WISH I WAS A BOWL OF SOUP

This cd is definitely one of AirVann's best. Many fans can't seem to choose their favorite between I wish I was a bowl of soup and Led Zeppelin VI. With 14 songs, the listener has a lot instore for them. Brunswick's creative juices flow more than ever like a raging crazy waterfall. This man is surely a genius along with every other member of the band. Gravity Defying Eggrolls comes to mind when talking about AirVann's most creative work. Many songs on this cd sound a bit "sonic youthy" as Jake Stanton likes to say. Loitering Ham Tape and Bagel of Destiny beatifully illustrate this. Some of Archie Langston's best work is captured on this cd also including Grandma's Lima Beans and Chicken is High. The latter had me laughing for about 20 minutes. These are the funniest, most abscure lads I have ever listened to. And I love them. Nothing comes close to AirVann's twisted and abscure sounds. This is one album that every AirVann fan shouldnt miss!

LED ZEPPELIN VI

"This is definitely what music comes to my mind when I think of Seattle based music. This is AirVann's debut album, and their carear looks VERY promising. The first single off of this CD, "Hello 40 16", is an amazing piece of music. It mocks the English language which definitely shows that this band has its rebellious side. It also lets us see whats in store for the band in the track entitled "Scary Wooden Flowers Medley". I had the privilage to sit down with Chad Brunswick and Jake Stanton, and they informed me that "Scary Wooden Flowers Medley" was actually a mixture and preview of upcoming AirVann songs. This CD might be short in length, but not in quality."

UNPLUGGED

"Just when you thought they couldn't get any better AirVann comes out with by far their greatest album to date. Just Months after coming out with their weakest album to date Bone, the boys are back and rocking as good as ever. One of the best tracks on the album is the guitar remake of Hello 4016. The dropped D tuning on langstons guitar and bass riff played on Stantons makes the song appealing more ways then one. The Standout, Chicken is high takes the 5 words from the album cut and repeat it for about three minutes, with the crowd chanting moo in the backround. The extended versions of about a squrilel and montana add a nice flavor to this truly all star line up. However, probably the best part about the show is how AirVann gets the crowd into it. Halfway through Montana, Archie Langston stopped playing and yelled "can we get a beat going." This is a beyond fabulous album one that no one should miss. And by the way, I hear AirVann is perfroming another live show in a couple weeks, I wouldn't miss that either."

UNPLUGGED
This is where AirVann got its grove back, after releasing their weakest LP to date in "Bone", the boys return with a live album to reasure fans of their greatness. AirVann has matured in many ways since "Led Zeppelin" in music varity, ability and of course, their songs. This album is like a greatest hits live, just what AirVann needed. The tracks sizzle with the clean rhythm of Stantons acoustic and Lanston Acustic/Electric. Brunswicks voice grabs the attention of the audience and only lets go in minor instances. The only tracks which fail to meet the greatest on their studio releses are "Buddah didn't like snapple" and "The I accidentaly Left my Brother in a tub of Oatmeal Blues" The rest are great and prove AirVanns greatness when live. Although this is just another unplugged album, very rarly is it done this well.

PREVIEW OF PARACHUTING TEDS.
Even though this album has not been released. AirVann was kind enough to let me listen to a couple of tracks that have been finished. Let me tell you, these are some of the greatest AirVann tunes yet. Almost every AirVann has heard the song Suspicious Pinecone, well now it is finally being placed on an album. Another great track is a sad sounding number called I dont Like Mice. I nice weird song that lets you know these guys are still weird and they can still write great songs. Look for this song when the album comes out. One of my other favorites is a parody of one of their own songs, Grandmas Woostah-sos. This makes fun of Langston's famous Grandma's Lima Beans. Anyone who has ever heard the original will get a kick out of Grandma's Woostah-sos, a hilarious and stupid improvisational piece. If the rest of the tracks are as good as the ones i listened to, ill be first in line to purchase Parachuting Teds.
